Socially Engineering Wal-Mart before it was cool

Back in the days, PLA and Project Nexus would call up Wal-Mart and socially engineer their customers, employees, stores, and corporate.  We have a sample of calls located here .  Fun times were had.  Especially when they would turn off their anti-theft system because every cart would set off the alarms.  Better yet was when Billy's cart retrieving system would go amock and attempt to run him over.  Those were the days....

So imagine my surprise when someone reinvents the wheel of socially engineering Wal-Mart to get sensitive details about the store.  Good for you?  It is great PR for the Social Engineer team.  Not sure what the article aims to acheive.  Beware of cons?  I do not know.
